Casablanca – During a session of oral questions at the House of Representatives, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, Mohcine Jazouli, highlighted significant achievements in the implementation of the Moroccan government’s strategic roadmap for the period 2023-2026. He reported that 44% of the planned initiatives aimed at enhancing the business environment have been successfully completed.
The roadmap, designed to bolster economic activities and improve regulatory frameworks across various sectors, includes a range of critical measures. Among these are efforts to streamline administrative procedures, enhance transparency in public procurement processes, establish clear payment deadlines, and facilitate electronic business registrations. These initiatives are crucial for fostering a more conducive environment for both local and international investments in Morocco.
In response to queries about regional investment climates, particularly from the Authenticity and Modernity group, Minister Jazouli underscored the government’s proactive approach. He highlighted the establishment of coordination mechanisms tailored to regional contexts, ensuring that stakeholders within each ecosystem collaborate effectively to address specific project needs.
Furthermore, Jazouli emphasized the pivotal role of Regional Investment Centers (CRIs) in this strategy. These centers are pivotal in developing electronic platforms that cater to the unique investment landscapes and requirements of different regions across Morocco. By leveraging these platforms, the government aims to further enhance transparency, efficiency, and attractiveness for investors looking to engage in various economic sectors.
The minister’s remarks reflect a commitment to advancing Morocco’s economic development agenda through targeted reforms and strategic investments. As the government progresses towards fulfilling the remainder of the roadmap’s objectives, stakeholders anticipate continued efforts to strengthen Morocco’s position as a competitive investment destination in the region and beyond.
