Casablanca – In anticipation of the bustling Summer 2024 season, the National Office of Railways (ONCF) has unveiled an extensive transportation program aimed at accommodating the surge in passenger demand across Morocco. With more than 230 trains scheduled daily, ONCF is ramping up services to cater to popular destinations from June 24th to September 23rd.

The program includes significant enhancements to ensure a seamless travel experience for both local commuters and international tourists. Special attention is being given to making train travel accessible and enjoyable, reflecting ONCF’s commitment to customer satisfaction during peak travel periods.

Key highlights of the Summer 2024 program include the deployment of 30 high-speed trains (Al Boraq) daily, operating between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca from 6 AM to 9 PM, with extended service until 10 PM on Sundays and peak hours. These trains, known for their speed and efficiency, offer commuters swift connections along Morocco’s northern corridor.

Moreover, ONCF is expanding its Atlas train services, with over 70 daily connections planned to link central Moroccan cities such as Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, and Fes. This strategic scheduling aims to improve intercity connectivity and facilitate smoother journeys for passengers traveling across the country.

In addition to enhancing daytime services, ONCF is introducing special night trains tailored for longer distances, including routes from Casablanca to Nador and Oujda. These trains feature comfortable compartment-style seating akin to hotel rooms, ensuring passengers experience optimal comfort during their travels.

Recognizing the importance of seamless connectivity to major transport hubs, ONCF is significantly boosting services to and from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. Thirty-eight trains will operate hourly from early morning until late evening, providing convenient links for travelers arriving and departing from the airport.

ONCF’s efforts extend beyond expanding services; the organization is also focusing on enhancing customer convenience. Initiatives include offering preferential pricing and promotional offers to encourage early booking, thereby making train travel more accessible and affordable for all.
