Casablanca – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has unveiled its summer 2025 flight schedule, marked by a significant increase in seat capacity, the launch of new international and domestic routes, and ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet and optimize connectivity through its Casablanca hub. The program reflects the airline’s strategic ambition to position Morocco as a key aviation hub and respond to growing travel demand from both Moroccan expatriates and international passengers.

Record-breaking summer offer

RAM is offering more than 6.6 million seats for the summer season—its highest capacity ever. This represents an increase of over 700,000 seats compared to the summer of 2024. The carrier plans to serve over 95 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

The initiative aims to support the annual return of Moroccans living abroad during the peak travel months, while also catering to rising interest from African diasporas and foreign tourists seeking direct access to Moroccan cities.

New international and domestic routes

The airline’s network expansion includes the launch of four new long-haul international routes:

  • São Paulo (Brazil)
  • Beijing (China)
  • Toronto (Canada)
  • Catania (Sicily, Italy), starting June 28

These destinations have been selected to enhance Morocco’s connectivity with high-potential tourism and trade markets. The Casablanca–Catania route strengthens RAM’s presence in southern Europe, while the additions of Beijing and São Paulo respond to growing demand from Asian and Latin American markets.

Domestically, the airline has added a new Rabat–Dakhla connection, reinforcing its efforts to boost internal air transport and support economic development in Morocco’s southern regions.

Strengthening the UK and Africa networks

In the United Kingdom, RAM is increasing its footprint with a new direct route between Casablanca and London Stansted, which adds to existing flights to Heathrow and Gatwick. A recently launched Casablanca–Manchester service further deepens the airline’s commitment to serving Moroccan communities and travelers in the UK.

On the African continent, RAM continues to consolidate its leadership with expanded frequencies:

  • Nouakchott will now be served nine times per week
  • Dakar will benefit from two daily flights, totaling 14 per week

These additions aim to improve accessibility to key West African cities while supporting business and family travel throughout the region.

Upgraded fleet and reduced dependence on leasing

To meet this summer’s operational demands, Royal Air Maroc is taking a hybrid approach that combines fleet expansion with select aircraft leasing. The airline has introduced eight new aircraft into its fleet:

  • Two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul flights
  • Six Boeing 737-8 MAX jets for medium-haul operations

These newer-generation aircraft offer better fuel efficiency, enhanced passenger comfort, and lower environmental impact. As a result, the number of leased planes has been reduced this year. However, RAM will still lease four additional aircraft—one long-haul jet stationed in Casablanca and three medium-haul aircraft based in Tangier, Nador, and Oujda—to support regional operations.

Redesigned scheduling to improve connections

Another key enhancement in the summer 2025 plan is the restructuring of time slots at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport. The new scheduling system is designed to improve connections between domestic and international flights, reducing layover times and streamlining transit experiences.

  • A nighttime slot will be dedicated to European flights, including Brussels, Paris-Orly, Paris-CDG, Milan, Bologna, and London Stansted
  • A daytime slot will serve African routes such as Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Lagos, and Conakry

This optimization is expected to ease the passenger flow at Morocco’s busiest airport while supporting RAM’s goal of transforming Casablanca into a strategic regional air hub.

Enhanced comfort on regional routes

Four popular short-haul routes—Malaga, Valencia, Lisbon, and Porto—will be operated using Boeing 737 and Embraer 190 aircraft. These medium-haul jets offer a more comfortable flying experience and reduced travel times, improving the airline’s competitiveness on these routes.

A strategy for growth and service excellence

In a statement accompanying the announcement, RAM Chairman and CEO Hamid Addou emphasized that the summer 2025 program aligns with the airline’s broader development strategy. He highlighted the airline’s commitment to delivering smoother, more reliable travel experiences and strengthening Morocco’s position in the global aviation landscape.

“With an expanded network, modernized fleet, and operational improvements, we are reaffirming our commitment to our passengers and to Morocco’s role as a strategic air hub,” Addou said. “All teams at Royal Air Maroc are fully mobilized to ensure a successful summer season, especially for our fellow citizens living abroad.”

Ticket availability

All flights in the summer 2025 program are currently available for booking through the airline’s official website, customer service centers, RAM’s sales offices, and authorized travel agencies nationwide.

Royal Air Maroc’s summer 2025 plan represents one of the airline’s most ambitious seasonal programs to date. By expanding its network, modernizing its fleet, and improving its operational structure, the carrier aims to provide a seamless travel experience to millions of passengers and reinforce its strategic role in connecting Morocco to the world.
