Casablanca– The Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Mutandis Group’s new industrial complex. The event, held in Berrechid, which belongs to Casablanca-Settat region, highlights the country’s commitment to fostering local economic growth and enhancing industrial capabilities.
The state-of-the-art industrial complex represents a substantial investment in the region, totaling 285 million dirhams (approximately $29.38 million USD). This significant investment underscores Morocco’s dedication to expanding its industrial footprint and creating employment opportunities for its citizens.
In his remarks to the press, Minister Mezzour emphasized the importance of the project in strengthening Morocco’s industrial sector and meeting the growing demands of both domestic and African markets. He praised the complex for its use of advanced technologies, positioning it as a leader in innovation and efficiency within the industry.
The complex is expected to play a pivotal role in reducing the country’s reliance on imports while simultaneously boosting its export potential. Minister Mezzour highlighted the strategic significance of the project in aligning with Morocco’s broader objectives of industrial and food sovereignty.

Adil Douiri, CEO of the Mutandis Group, echoed Minister Mezzour’s sentiments, emphasizing the project’s focus on promoting local production and reducing dependency on imported goods. Douiri also underscored the project’s potential to support the growth of the national agriculture sector by transforming locally sourced agricultural products. With plans to create an additional 300 job positions in the near future, the complex is poised to become a driving force behind economic development in Berrechid.
The new industrial complex comprises three main factories, including facilities for the production of liquid cleaning products, cosmetics, and beverages. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, these factories have the capacity to meet both domestic and international demand for a wide range of products.
