Casablanca – Samsung Electronics Morocco has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing digital education in Morocco through a renewed partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports. The partnership, announced yesterday in Rabat, aims to expand the impact of the “Samsung Innovation Campus” (SIC) program across the country.
The SIC program, aligned with the 2022-2026 ICT roadmap, focuses on equipping teachers and students with essential digital skills necessary for success in the digital age. It has already established fully-equipped training centers in each regional academy, facilitating the training and certification of 562 teachers in Python programming. Moreover, the program has intensified regional training sessions benefiting over 1,000 secondary school computer science teachers, ensuring a robust transfer of programming skills to students.
In a significant step forward, Samsung Morocco and the Ministry will extend the SIC program to include all secondary school computer science teachers. This extension underscores their joint commitment to building a sustainable educational system in Morocco, empowering educators and students alike with fundamental digital tools and skills.
“This partnership renewal reflects our shared vision of fostering a digitally proficient generation in Morocco,” stated a Samsung Morocco representative. “By broadening access to advanced digital education resources, we aim to nurture innovation and prepare Moroccan youth to excel in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
Looking ahead, the partnership will culminate in the launch of Morocco’s inaugural national programming competition, designed to stimulate excellence and creativity among Moroccan students using Python programming.
The collaboration between Samsung Morocco and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports underscores their dedication to advancing Morocco’s educational infrastructure. By enhancing digital literacy and innovation through initiatives like the SIC program, they aim to position Moroccan students competitively on the global stage of digital innovation.
